Privacy Policy
Right to Life of Central California ("RTLCA," "Right to Life CA," "we," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect voluntary information (such as your name, email address, and phone number) when you register for information groups or sign up for event alerts. For our text message (SMS) programs, we also collect your phone number, name, consent records, and opt-in timestamps. When you donate, we collect the contact and mailing information you provide. If you make a tribute gift, we also collect the name of the person you honor or remember.
How we use your information
We use your information solely to keep you informed about our events, updates, and other related communications. Our text messages fall into two programs: marketing texts (events, fundraising, and ticket announcements) and informational texts (registration reminders, volunteer reminders, and confirmations). Donation information is used to process gifts, issue receipts, maintain donor records, and administer tribute gifts.
Website analytics
When you visit our website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand general traffic patterns, such as which pages are popular and how visitors find us. It does not use cookies, and it does not collect information that personally identifies you.
We also use a first-party, pseudonymous analytics system to understand journeys through our website, including campaign links, page paths, button clicks, form starts and completions, and browser-observed donation success. It creates a random browser identifier in local storage and a temporary session identifier in session storage. It may record the referring website, campaign tags included in a link, and that a browser viewed a resource page. Only a controlled list of campaign labels is accepted; all other campaign-tag values are discarded. We record only the referring website's host, not its path or query string. Page paths do not include query strings, and only a source-controlled list of public site paths is accepted; unknown or personalized paths are discarded. Please do not put personal, medical, pregnancy, prayer-request, or payment information in campaign tags. The analytics event schema has no dedicated fields for names, contact details, form answers, prayer requests, pregnancy or health details, or payment details. The system records that a form was started or completed, but form fields and their contents are not sent as analytics events.
On the Madera Fair interest forms and supported Bloomerang donation flows, we include the temporary journey identifier with the Formspree or Bloomerang record so authorized staff can understand which campaign led to the completed action. This can link that session's website journey to the information you chose to submit, but we do not copy your form answers or payment details into the analytics event stream. Pseudonymous event records are retained for up to 14 months. The random browser identifier remains on your device until you clear your browser's site data. Using Quick Exit clears the analytics and saved donation state in that tab and signals any other open RTLCA tab using the same website address in that browser to clear and leave as well.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use trusted service providers to perform work on our behalf, including Twilio for text messages and Formspree to deliver website form and tribute-gift information to our staff, and Cloudflare and our database hosting provider to securely process pseudonymous website analytics.
Donations and payments
When you make a donation or payment, it is processed securely by trusted third-party providers (Square, Authorize.Net, Bloomerang, and Greater Giving Auction Pay), each of which handles your payment information under its own privacy policy. We do not store your full payment card details on our website. After Bloomerang confirms a tribute gift, the donor contact and mailing information and the honoree or memorial name are sent to our staff through Formspree so we can administer the tribute.
How long we keep your information
Phone numbers collected for a text program are retained only for the duration of that program and are deleted within 30 days afterward, unless you maintain an active account with us or opt into future programs. Donation and tribute records are retained as needed for receipts, accounting, donor service, and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. To stop receiving emails from us, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. To request deletion of your information, email us at[email protected].
Data security
We maintain secure storage practices and review our security measures regularly to help protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
